Chris Ramsay

Chris has held managerial & operational roles in exploration, mine development and operations in underground & open cut Gold, Base Metals & Coal mines in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Cameroon, Canada & Brunei over the past 28 years. Starting out in gold exploration & mining in New Zealand with Oceana, Chris joined Sons of Gwalia at their underground gold operations in the WA goldfields. Chris then joined copper, gold and coal company Straits Resources in 2004 and managed resource development processes & mine control systems for mining copper, gold and coal throughout the group. From 2009 Chris managed Strait’s international exploration, resource modelling & mine geology operations based out of Indonesia until mid-2014. From late 2014 Chris managed a geological consultancy in Malaysia providing strategic advice, project and contract management and resource management services. Chris has a diverse skill set from exploration, resource & mining management, strategic planning to project and contract management. Chris has developed extensive inter and cross-cultural team & interdisciplinary management skills. Chris has prepared and signed-off JORC statements and reports from 2006.
